• Sunday morning: 10.30am
• Sunday evening: 6pm during Summer, 5pm Winter More details on this weeks notices page. Our morning service at 10:30 is aimed at the family. We seek to combine the best of the modern and traditional as we worship God - reflecting the broad range of people within the church. Our diversity and breadth is shown in the music, which is played by a mixture of organ, music groups and brass band – our youngest musician is about 10 and the oldest in their early 90s. On a typical Sunday we get between 100 and 120 people in the morning of which 35 or so are under the age of 16. Everyone joins together for the first part of the service before the youngsters leave for Junior Church. There are 3 Groups – under 7s, 8-11s and 12-14s. A crèche is also available. Those over the age of 14 have a mixed programme. Sometimes they stay in for the whole service, while on other occasions they go out for their own group. Our evening service is smaller and generally reflective in style. In the winter months the service is at 5pm and in the summer months at 6pm. The IMPACT youth service happens once a month this can be reflective, but in a louder and more active way! We know that being part of a church family consists of more than just a Sunday visit, so we try to ensure a range of activities (weekly, monthly and occasional). House groups are central to our pastoral care and bible teaching. We currently have 3 groups, two meeting in the evening and one during the day. Again the style of these groups varies to reflect the wide cross-section of people. The church also runs the ALPHA course, both for adults and youngsters over the age of 14. Every Wednesday afternoon at 2.30pm the Womens’ Own meet in the Church. Ladies from the church and those outside come to share a time of fun and fellowship. Once a month the Thursday club meets to listen to a variety of speakers and take part in different activities. In addition to this there are a number of social events, ranging from quiz evenings, to church lunches to hiring out the local swimming pool or our regular baminton matches. We aim is to be a vibrant church, where people enjoy spending time with each other as we seek to serve God as His community in Pershore. |
